Olive Branch Olive Oil

July 24th, 2009

On our road trip, we stopped in to visit my Aunt Sherrill in Conway, MA. She is quite the world traveler. For many years now she has travelled to Palestine to help with the olive harvest in October. Each day of the harvest, workers and international volunteers pick the olives, then transport them by donkey for sorting and processing. Recently this Palestinian olive oil has become available  in U.S. markets.

Olive Branch EVOO is fair trade and  organic (not yet certified).  It is wonderfully fruity and not too acidic, perfect for salads, bread and sauteed veggies.  If you live in the Boston area you can purchase it locally, otherwise you can order it online. An excellent olive oil which helps small farmers – a win-win for all!
