Harvest Song Preserves
October 23rd, 2009
This company and its products were standouts at Fancy Foods. Harvest Song products are handmade in the Ararat Valley in Armenia. The flavor of the preserved fresh walnuts (below) were so interesting, I had to force myself to walk away from the booth. Thinly sliced, they could be served with Greek yogurt for breakfast or on a cheese plate after dinner.
The Sour Cherry, Peach and Wild Black Currant preserve varieties were exemplary, not too sweet and very aromatic. The texture of the preserves is truly reminiscent of homemade jams.
I have found these gems at Whole Foods but they also have an online store. With its unique packaging, Harvest Song preserves and products would make a lovely hostess gift for all those upcoming holiday parties.
PS: Barr if you have never tried these walnuts, you would go crazy for them!
