Thanks to "Sex in the City," a Cosmopolitan (aka "a cosmo") is the ultimate cranberry cocktail, but you can do so much more with that humble cranberry juice.
Here is a round up of print and web recipes for cranberry libations:

1 quart cranberry juice
1 cinnamon stick
2 whole cloves
1/2 cup fresh cranberries
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons water
In a medium saucepan, combine the juice, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and let simmer while you prepare the cranberry garnish.
In another saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons water. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring, until cranberries pop and are coated with the sugar mixture.
Let cranberries cook, and thread 3 to 4 berries on four decorative skewers. Pour the hot cranberry cocktail into four glasses, and garnish with cranberry skewers.
